The Friends You Make In College Are Unlike Any Other

You don't like a certain professor? Cool they hate them, too...

The Friends You Make In College Are Unlike Any Other

College is in the weirdest part of our lives, it's in the weird, awkward young adult phases we all go through. We're full-grown adults but we're still figuring out this whole growing up and "adulting" thing out. We meet so many people during this phase, some will stay and some will go but as cheesy as it sounds each person who walks into your life during this time is there for a reason or as a lesson, which one they may be is up to you to figure out for yourself.

I personally would like to take a minute to thank and brag about my best friends who I have met at school, Its a pity that I had to wait and meet you all during my last semester but hey I guess its better to have met you guys later rather than never, though right? It's so weird how you can all go from being complete strangers to becoming the best of friends. We are all so different which is one of the reasons why I think we all get along so great.

Already we have made so many memories, and jokes from cards against humanity at Moes and learning that it is unacceptable to drive as if you are in a grand theft auto game, and from two of you trying and doing anything to everything possible to make me burst out laughing in the middle of a history lecture by sending the most random memes and selfies in the group chat to completely taking over the schools cafe as if we own the place …. and we have so many more to make together.

We are the weirdest and oddest most random bunch together, we keep each other guessing and always on our toes because knowing who we are YOU NEVER KNOW what will happen or who is going to say something next… (* insert palm to face emoji *) but its honestly ok, because I wouldn't have it any other way. Thank you guys for just being you and for accepting me for who I am. Y'all are the best, and I'm so lucky to be able to call you guys my best friends.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
