The 9 Friends You Make In College
Personal

College is the best four years of our lives. These 9 types of friends are what help make the college experience worth it.

The Party Animal

Giphy

We all know a girl/guy that can literally go out and get drunk EVER NIGHT. They are the best people to call upon a Saturday night because they will always know when and where the party is.

The Overachiever

Giphy

This friend literally has their whole life planned out. They already finished assignments that are due in three weeks, they plan to do two internships this summer and have multiple jobs already lined up after college. They never make less than a 4.0 each semester and will probably be super successful in the future.

The Underachiever

Giphy

This friend is the exact opposite of the overachiever. This is your laziest friend. You've never seen them do one ounce of school work and you're not really sure if they have any plans for the future.

The In Class Only Friend

Giphy

This is the friend you made purely because you had a class together and happen to sit next to each other. Without this class you would have nothing in common but they sure keep you entertained while the professor lectures.

The "Daddy's Money" Friend

Giphy

This is the friend that has money flowing out of their butt. How do they have so much money? Their parents. What do their parents do? No clue, but that doesn't matter when they come in clutch taking you to fancy restaurants and clubs. They can be spoiled but you look past it.

The Negative Nancy

Giphy

This friend literally has nothing positive to say ever. They are always complaining about life, school, grades and anything else.

The Positive Polly

Giphy

This friend literally has nothing negative to say ever. They are always smiling and uplifting you even when it's annoying.

The Mom Friend

Giphy

This friend is your mom while at college. She always has your back and is looking out for you. She wants you to succeed and will take care of you when you're sick.

The Study Buddy

Giphy

This friend is your perfect study partner. They are always down to go to your favorite study spot and will bring all the essentials like highlighters, pens, pencils, paper, etc.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
