At this point in the semester, completing all of my final assignments feels about as daunting as going on a month-long expedition to destroy a ring which belongs to a being of pure evil. So, I figured the Fellowship would be the perfect group of characters to explain my end-of-semester stress.

1. You come back from Thanksgiving break and realize you only have two weeks of classes left.

I know this is a "Hobbit"gif and not "Lord of the Rings" technically, but Bilbo here seems very distressed just like I am after break, so it applies.

2. You wish this was you, peacing out from all this stress forever:

Hobbits don't have to worry about this stuff. They just think about farming and food all the time. Can't that be me?

3. You look at your finals to-do list and it honestly makes you weep.

Slow but sure progress.

5. Finally, classes are over and finals week begins.

Not to be dramatic, but you now understand how Sam and Frodo felt right when they were about to enter Mordor.

6. You start to work on some truly horrendous study guides and you begin to think:

I know it, Gandalf.

7. But maybe your first couple of finals aren't too bad!

Good for you! Kick back with a pint and a pipe like any good Hobbit would.

8. But then you have your final which is known for being almost impossible to do well on.

If I knew how to say "good luck" in Elvish, I'd tell it to you.

9. Turns out they were right. This is you after that final:

If I knew how to say, "It's all going to be okay" in Elvish, I would also say that to you.

10.Your roommate gets to go home way earlier than you during finals week.

You're supposed to be happy when good things happen to your friends, but when they're home j chilling with their dog and you're studying for three exams at once, it's pretty hard.

11.You finally walk out of your last final, which you're pretty sure you bombed.

It might not have been Mordor-levels of bad, but it was pretty bad.

12. But that's all behind you now! Let break begin!

I mean, you'll care -- later, when you check your final grades. But for now, enjoy the break!

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
