I’ve lived on my own for the past two years of my life. My Freshman year of college the whole rooming situation did not go as planned. My roommate and I did not get along, and we were unable to compromise on anything.

The two of us later came to figure out that there were a lot of things happening in each other's lives that were affecting how we treated each other. A year later, I was able to call her a sister in my sorority and to this day we are closer than we have ever been.

Nevertheless, this whole debacle forced me to want to live on my own. But now, two years later I am in Los Angeles living with two girls again… and here are the differences I’ve noticed.

Living Alone: Walk around shamelessly in your underwear with no comments being directed toward you.

Living with Roommates: “OMG, those panties are so cute where did you get them!?”

Living Alone: Cook yourself a meal or starve because you know you don’t want to eat alone…

Living with Roommates: SNACK ALL DAY. Munch off of each other's snacks and pay each other back in food.

Living Alone: Always alone.

Living with Roommates: Secluded in your room when you need time alone, but when you need a good laugh, the doors to their rooms are always open.

Living Alone: Laughs alone at a stupid video on Facebook.

Living with Roommates: Rolls on the floor laughing because your roommates are re-enacting the stupid video on Facebook in the living room.

Living Alone: Always have to call someone to make plans.

Living with Roommates: Yells through the house to see if anyone is craving an ice cream cone as bad as you.

Living Alone: Have to hope that what you're wearing is appropriate for the occasion at hand.

Living with Roommates: Have live-in stylists that tell you when you look like a piece of crap.

I’ve never been one to want roommates, but after living with the two girls I live with currently, I am almost 110% sure that I never want to live alone again.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
