Hey readers! There has been so much cloudy weather lately, but I wanted to take advantage of it and write some poetry about my thoughts regarding cloudy days. I hope you enjoy or get intrigued. Good vibes!
The clouds tell stories, and that's something I believe
My idea may be naïve, but I do believe that the clouds tell stories
I can only speak for myself, but I can sense something in them
On a sunny day, I sense the push of promise
The clouds are white and rolling, floating above soft blue
The sun giving them pardon to roam as lush to the eye
And keep you wondering where they would end up;
So much as my mind as to where life would end up taking me:
Would the journey be as soft and lull as the clouds on a sunny day?
Could my passage be granted as blindingly as the sun on this day?
On a cloudy day, I sense the quickness of change
The clouds turn into a bleak gray, dragging across an even grayer blend
The sun seeking a way in with no assuredness possible to the eye
And my mind wonders yet again, what it could mean, just maybe:
What will change?
Will it be as bleak as the gray splashed across the skies?
And then, should rain appear, it isn't all bad
For me, should the clouds bring rain, I sense growth
Water pours itself onto every living thing not to drown it, but to sustain it
From the ant on the ground to the fish living in the deepest trenches of the sea,
Rain allows me to think of the things I want to sustain, and the things I want to grow
Should thunder appear, I sense paying attention;
Almost as if I am being signaled to pay attention to something that's been on my mind
Or something that may, in fact, be approaching
As silly and child-like this idea, I am not saying sunny days always signal better stories than cloudy
I am merely saying that amid some of the clearest signs in nature, the clouds are some of the most prominent for me
A time to just be isolated by the constant movement of the sky above you with no pretenses or expectations
Only yourself and your thoughts
The clouds tell stories, and that's something I believe
Pieces of life flowing in real time to inspire me
