Why do the Black Lives Matter chants seem to die down just because an unarmed Black person is not being killed by the police? I am just wondering, because the movement has not stopped. The movement is still alive and well. Where is everyone when things are calm for a second before the next murder happens? This is something we need to talk about all the time. There should not be a moment we are not speaking Black Lives Matter out of our mouth on a daily basis. What we need to do is make sure people are not forgetting what we are trying to do with this. We are trying to keep people aware - keep them aware of what we are doing and where we are going.

What is a movement if we stop talking about it when things are fine? It's a damn good thing that things are fine - that means no one is getting murdered. But, the people who have - have no gotten justice. They are still dead. We need to speak of them and make sure they are remembered for what they have died for. Not what they did in the past, but what they died for now. No matter what 'the media' tries to say about the Black people who have died, it does not matter. They could have been a bad person in their day-to-day life, we did not know them. But, that does not despite the fact that they died unarmed and putting their hands up.

What people / the media / everyone fails to realize is that - this still needs to be talked about. It does not matter when it happens, murders from 2002 still need to be talked about. You cannot let them be forgotten. The movement never ends until the justice comes. We must keep talking about it.

We must keep our voice heard and our mind's ready for what is going to happen next. If we don't talk about it, our minds will automatically forget what the movement was even about. This is not a thing that should be temporary, we are not a temporary tattoo - we want to be a permanent one. We are permanent like everyone else and we should keep the conversation going. People need to use their platform all the time, at least once every other day to keep talking about this. If you are not talking about it - the message is not be relayed to anyone else.

The media is still showing countless racist shit in the media, it does not stop. Just a few weeks about a controversial situation happened with Korryn Gaines. A Black armed individual who had a stand-off with the police (but, that is another BLM topic for another time). A week ago police officers uploaded a controversial photo of dogs with signs that said "Black Labs Matter" and "All Labs Matter." The Black dog had "Black Labs Matter" and you get the drift. Things are still happening - you gotta keep your eyes peeled on the media.

Don't forget about the important matters. Don't keep chanting. Don't keep screaming their names. Don't keep telling your peers about what this means for Black people. Don't keep screaming. Use your platform and inform everyone of what the world is going through right now. Because it sure ain't a good thing.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
