1. Tom’s of Maine
"At Tom's of Maine, we believe one thing that makes our products good is how we make them. That's why we've always been committed to high-quality standards and never use artificial colors, flavors, fragrances, preservatives or animal testing. You deserve the peace of mind that comes with knowing the products you choose not only work, but also share your values." — Pam Scheeler.
I prefer Tom’s toothpaste over any other brand because not only is it cruelty-free, but it is also fluoride-free, which is good for the pineal gland. Tom's also carries deodorant, mouthwash and floss, lip products, body washes and baby products.
2. Hempz
When it comes to moisturizer I am particularly a fan of Hempz products. Their products contain 100 percent natural hemp seed oil and pure herbal extracts. Hemp seeds are rich in vitamins E, C, B1, B2, B3 and B6 as well as iron, zinc, potassium and carotene. Hempz also carries tanning products and sunscreen as well as lip products.
3. Arctic Fox
Arctic Fox is a hair dye brand founded in 2014 by a model who enjoyed vivid hair colors but struggled to find a good brand that was vegan. These semi-permanent colors are brightly pigmented and not tested on animals.
4. Hard Candy
Hard Candy is one of my favorite drugstore makeup brands because all of their products are good quality and no animals were harmed to prove that. Hard Candy’s Glamoflauge concealer has amazing coverage and is also inexpensive and ethical.
5. LUSH
LUSH is an amazing company as a whole. Their products are only tested on human volunteers. Ever since the company was founded they have been fighting animal testing. This company is best-known for their bath bombs but they also have all different kinds of beauty products ranging from body wash to lotions and lip scrubs and everything in between.
6. MicaBeauty Cosmetics
“Where nature and beauty collide!” MicaBeauty is a line of 100% natural cosmetics, made out of MICA and minerals. These cosmetics are free from preservatives, chemicals, and other oils making it trustworthy for people with sensitive skin. I tried MicaBeauty Cosmetics highlighter #03 after receiving it in an ipsy subscription bag and I fell in love.
7. NYX
NYX is another drugstore favorite of mine. This brand makes it easy to buy good quality makeup that hasn’t been tested on animals without breaking the bank. NYX has a large range of cosmetic products, but my favorite would have to be Lip Lingerie because I love a good matte lip.
8. Physician’s Formula
Physician’s Formula is America’s #1 Organic/Natural Face & Eye Makeup Brand. PF was founded by Dr. Frank Crandall, an eminent allergist who had a wife with sensitive skin. He created a line of cosmetics for his wife that was unique, and fortunately, not tested on animals.
9. Too Faced
Too Faced was created in the 90’s by two men who were getting tired of the dark cosmetic trends. The founders wanted to bring back femininity, which sparked the beginning of their boutique brand. Their products are cute and cruelty-free. My favorite mascara is Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara.
10. Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics
Jelly Pong Pong was another ipsy discovery. When I received the coffee + coconut lip scrub I was excited to see the cruelty-free bunny on the bottom of the container. Not only does this exfoliant smell amazing, but it also makes your lips feel incredibly soft.
