Winter break has just ended not too long ago, thus leaving us with an entirely new semester. Most of us aren't happy that we no longer get to lay around and relax all the time without having to worry about classes, but that's no excuse to not try your best during this new semester. At the beginning of the semester, you've probably experienced a few of the following things.

When you have a class with someone you know.

When your professor starts teaching on the first day without going over the syllabus.

When it's the first day and you don't want to be bothered by anyone or anything.

When your professor makes it clear that they want things either their way or your work won't even be looked at.

When your professor says that the textbook is absolutely mandatory for passing their class, but doesn't know that you know how to get around that.

When the person next to you keeps rambling on and on about their life as if nobody else is in the class.

When your professor makes it absolutely impossible for you to miss any classes and talks about their absolutely ridiculous attendance policy on the first day of class.

When you doze off for a bit and have no clue as to what's currently happening around you, but you try to go with the flow and try to not show how clueless you actually are.

When someone in your class says something catchy.

When your professor understands that you're a tired and broke college student and makes that clear on the first day by saying that there's no textbook necessary for their class.

When someone says something super cool and you don't know how to react to it, so you end up just sitting around amazed and clueless.

When there's someone in your class that reminds you of someone else that you really can't stand.

When class has ended, but your professor keeps talking to themselves in front of everyone as if anyone is paying any attention to what's being said and won't dismiss class.

When you already start slacking off without caring.

When you go to class looking like a bum but don't care because you've either had a long commute to campus or because you just don't care enough to look 100% presentable.

When you want to go get food, but can't because you're stuck in class.

When someone you just met sees something about you and states the obvious to your face as if they're Captain Obvious or something.

When introducing yourself to your new classmates and not knowing what else to say.

When you leave your first class of the day and already don't care for it, but can't drop it because you either need it for a requirement or for your major.

When you got too lit last night but still have to go to class the next day just because it's the first class of the semester.

When all you want to do is just go back to your place and cry.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
