Every year, a new trend in fashion and pop culture always seems to sneak up on us. The 90's have been something that has always stuck around, at least in 90's kids' culture, through television shows and music.

Now, all of a sudden, there's nowhere that isn't a 90's reference. Fortunately for most of us, the 90's were a time that we were growing up in, so we weren't really able to fully embrace what 90's culture is.

Through jewelry and clothing that our parents wouldn't dream of us wearing, to the cartoons that we loved making a comeback in a huge way, there's nothing that we don't want to give back.

Nickelodeon first fed our 90's obsession by introducing "The Splat", dedicated to showing 90's cartoons and sitcoms like "Rugrats", "Ren and Stimpy", and "Clarissa Explains It All."

Now, 90's Nickelodeon has turned into a cult following in stores across the nation. Stores like Macy's and F.Y.E have been selling anything from clothes and bedding to the coveted Reptar Bar that we all drooled over as kids whenever "Rugrats" was on.

Disney has also been following suit with the 90's craze. They've released notebooks that look like VHS covers of 90's favorites like "Beauty and the Beast" and "The Lion King."

They don't have to release hoards of new merchandise based on their 90's classics because most of our Disney favorites have survived beyond their years.

Although they have added "Lizzie McGuire" to their DisneyNOW app, which isn't technically 90's, but still something to celebrate.

Food and fashion have followed in the 90's cult following too. Chokers have been making a comeback, as well as hair clips. You can buy butterfly clips by the 100's on Amazon! Grunge fashion is also slowly creeping back into the radar.

Colossal food creations like the "freak-shake" have combined 90's candy favorites with electric-colored ice cream to make a milkshake the Rugrats babies would rejoice over. Dessert options have that neon pop that makes them as nostalgic as can be.

Whether you're for or against the 90's movement, you can't deny it's coming back with a vengeance.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm going to hold onto it for as long as possible just so I can reminisce on childhood memories.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.
