Which one do you fit under?

The 8 Different Types Of People You See At The Gym
Her Campus

There are three types of people. Upon hearing the word "gym," there are those people who automatically think of it as their second home, then you have the people whose eyes bulge just from the intimidation of hearing the word, and then you get the majority of people who aren't intimidated by it but just accept that they are lazy and prefer eating or sleeping. With that being said, it is no secret to us gym-goers that there are two completely different sides of the spectrum in relation to the people at the gym. Let me point out the main eight different types of people that I see at the gym, solely for laughs. I wonder which one you fit under?

1. The "tools" or people who think they are "the sh*t" and walk around like they own the place with the occasional loud dropping of weights to say "Aye, look at me!" in gym language.

If you don't come across these people, are you truly at the gym? They seriously act like they run the place and can be intimidating to say the least.

2. The person who "gets ready" (does, hair, makeup, etc.) for the gym.

Why do your hair, makeup, and shower just to be dripping in sweat 15 minutes later, I never will understand, but everybody knows somebody or has come into contact with somebody who does it.

3. The teenage girl who is a freaking track star

That teenager who seems to be able to go non-stop when it comes to cardio will be the death of me. My entire workout, I find myself wondering how they never seem to get tired and wish that I could be even half the athlete that they are.

4. The mom who only comes for the yoga and Zumba classes

Moms have so many gym friends from their endless Zumba, yoga, pilates, and whatever classes they partake in. I guess it's a mom thing and I'll understand one day but in all seriousness props to them, I hope I can be as fit as them when I'm their age.

5. The best friends who can't complete a workout without each other

I'm talking about the inseparable workout buddies here. You never see them apart, they chit chat during cardio, and go from machine to machine together on weight training days.

6. The person who regrets going to the gym and cuts their workout short every time... hey, anything helps, right?

I guess we all sort of fit under this one. Sometimes cheat days are calling our name and we rationalize for a solid 10 minutes, cutting our workout short.

7. The person who spends more times in the locker room taking Snapchats and mirror selfies than actually working out.

Have you truly been to the gym if you haven't walked into the locker room and caught people taking mirror selfies? I guess you need to have progress pics, right?

8. The person who has crazy motivation and finishes their workout despite the fact that they sound like they're dying and look like they may fall over.

We have all seen that person working so hard who is so dedicated to their workout and pushing through. Sometimes I wish I could have the motivation they do. So shout out to all those people who keep going despite it being hard and any bumps in the road.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
