Summer may have a reputation for being the best season of the year, but all couples should be quick to disagree. The winds knocks the leaves off the trees and brings love into the air. The cooler weather is perfect for snuggling up with your favorite person and enjoying all of the perfect dates that fall has to offer.

1. Going to an apple orchard or a pumpkin patch

Nothing says romance more than picking apples and carving pumpkins together! You can share a warm apple cider and an elephant ear at your favorite orchard. And we all know that picking out the best pumpkin can be almost as difficult as picking out your mate. But by the end of this date, you'll have surely found both.

2. Having a scary movie marathon

Halloween may not seem like a romantic holiday, but the preparation for it definitely can be. Even if scary movies aren't really your thing, I promise it will be a whole lot better when you're watching them with someone you love. Break out the classics like Hocus Pocus or Halloweentown and cuddle up close to your biggest protector.

3. Holiday shopping together

One of the best parts about the fall is that it's the time of year just before the holidays! And having a significant other means you have the perfect person to do all of your holiday shopping with. Of course, you'll have to go by yourself when you're picking up their present. But if you're lucky, they might just drop a few hints about what they'd like while your shopping for someone else's gift. Either way, you'll get to spend time together in a productive way!

4. Going on a hike together

Another great part about the fall is all of the beautiful scenery surrounding you. The different colored leaves and the cooler temperatures make it the perfect weather to go hiking in. You can enjoy the stunning landscape and get some exercise all at the same time. And once you're done with active part of the day, you can settle down and have the perfect picnic.

5. Going mini golfing

Mini golfing may seem like a total summer date, but it's actually way better in the fall. The drop in temperature means you can play as many holes as you want without baking in the sun. And the sunsets that follow perfect fall nights are the best way to end any game of golf.

6. Having a bonfire

Everyone loves a classic bonfire and some really good smore's. Fall is the perfect time to grab some wood and some blankets and camp out in front of the fire. You and your partner can get warm by the fire, while gazing at the stars. Sounds like a pretty romantic night to me!

7. Going to a football game

Finally, we all know that the fall means football. And whether your sports fanatics or not, every couple should make it to one fall football game together. You'll have the whole day to enjoy each other. From tailgating, to the final minute of the fourth quarter, going to a football game together is the perfect way to spend a fall day with your loved one.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
