I'm The College Girl Who Is Basically An IRL Version Of Jessica Day

Basically, it's like the first season of New Girl; but more college styled

There's literally never a boring day in Apartment 389-C.

1. I am almost always laughing

I'm actually smiling as I type this because it's making me think of all the random yet hysterical things the guys have done. I find that I am either laughing with them or at them; and sometimes even both. For example, when I am laughing with them it might be when they wake me up in the morning chuckling and nonchalantly exclaiming "Take a look at what we just picked up". To my surprise, I awoke to only 2 happy faces; and a keg.

#MerryChristmas ya'll!

(*Disclaimer* No Juul pods went unused in the making of our tree.)

2. I've heard every type of "girl problems" to ever exist

I honestly didn't even know that many existed. They usually come to me for advice or just to tell me the story of their latest Lady Luau. I lately haven't been able to give any feedback because I have been more and more baffled by some of stories that I've recently heard.

But, #YGG *you go guys!

3. "Tinder girls" are EVERYWHERE

The word 'Tinder' has been said so many times in this apartment that it no longer sounds like a word to me, and I imagine this will only get worse over time. The guys manage to invite over so many girls from the app that they actually FORGET who they've invited over, and later find themselves surrounded by 2-3 "Tinder girls" all a once. I usually panic for them, but they miraculously somehow handle it every single time.

4. There's always someone to hangout with

Chances are there's at least 2 people at the apartment to hang with when there's not much going on. I feel like this is important because there's always someone to either chill with or to take along with you to your Friday night shenanigans. Even nights when nothing is going on and we're all ready to put the past school week behind us, each others company is just enough.

5. I'm not sure if I'd want it any other way

Through all the tinder girls, all of the Kodak Black songs in the morning, and all of their obnoxious stories, they are really down to earth people; and genuinely nice to be around. The guys make me feel at home and I'm beyond glad that I got the chance to meet them.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
