With the end of the winter months also, sadly, comes the end of "The Bachelor." Much like the emotions one goes through after a breakup, these are the five inevitable stages that occur the day after the bittersweet three-hour finale.

1. Bliss

The first few days after the finale typically succeed in masking the fact that "The Bachelor" is actually over. It is a time to Insta-stalk the hopefully happy couple and watch them revel in their newly public relationship status on talk shows and at events. The finale is still sinking in at this point and you are too happy about how much drama the beautiful couple overcame to get to where they are today to worry about much else.

2. Denial

It’s Monday night at 8 p.m! Bachelor time! Oh, wait... The week after the finale is always the hardest because you have a set Monday night schedule at this point and any interruption is too difficult to bear. So, instead of facing the truth, you quickly switch to a different channel and watch something else that obviously isn’t as good or engaging as "The Bachelor," but it will do for now.

3. Anger

It’s been a few weeks now. The denial has worn off, and now you’re just mad. Why can’t the new season, or even "Bachelor in Paradise," start the week after so you don’t have this awkward hiatus with nothing to watch? It’s unfair, upsetting, and most of all, just boring. What else are you supposed to look at now that Ben’s face has become a thing of the past?

4. Devastation

The anger has faded, but in its place, you’re left with nothing but sheer devastation. The week is tough enough to get through already -- now you’re expected to do it without the comfort and consistency of your favorite show? What are your friends and you supposed to watch when you’re trying to avoid doing a problem set or apply for internships? Not really an ideal or realistic setup by any means.

5. Hope

You’ve calmed down a bit and realized that you only have a few weeks until "Bachelor in Paradise" starts. And then soon after, the new season of "The Bachelorette." Hopefulness soon replaces your thoughts of negativity and you realize that everything is going to be okay.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
