Whether you are just finishing your first year or are on your way out to the real world, there are a lot of emotions when moving out for the summer. Everyone gets attached to their room and routine and it is difficult to break that. Here are five emotions everyone feels on move out day.

1. Denial

School may be ending in three days but that doesn't mean you have to move out right?! You haven't even started to think about what life will be like outside of school and you don't plan on it. School can't be ending so lets not even think about it.

2. Anger

The has finally arrived that you have to leave and you become angry. How could they make you leave?!? You have so many memories in this room, it isn't fair! The school doesn't care about your feelings and you're mad about it! How dare they!!!

3. Sadness

As you begin to slowly pack up, you find photos and memories scattered around your room and you start to become sad. Reminiscing on the amazing year you just had, filled with ups and downs, laughs and tears, it is all too much to take in. It is going to be a few months until you can make memories like this again, and that is honestly just depressing.

4. Acceptance

Your room is packed and you have to finally accept the fact that you are on your way out, never to return again. Anger and sadness turn into acceptance, realizing you have had an amazing year and that is nothing to be upset about. You loved your room but it is time to move on.

5. Moving On

Once you arrive home, you must move on. You can still be nostalgic about your old room and your life at school, but coming home to your own house and family makes the sorrow a little better. You finally get to shower without shower shoes, have fresh fruits and vegetables in your fridge, the washer actually cleans your clothes and get to drive your car around. Dorm life or apartment life was great, but at least you are finally home.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
