The 3 Biggest Signs You're A Giver

And believe it or not, Drake helped me fully realize that I am...

I have always been a giver. I enjoy giving back to others, whether it be experience, happiness, advice, or even money. Not everyone can be a natural giver, and it's important to recognize those who are. If you're a giver, you'll know it through these signs

1. You're driven

It's your mission to give back to others. You could be working on or may actually be (pursuing) a career such as a nurse, doctor, psychologist, or teacher. You want to work hard to be someone that other people can rely on. Of course, there are other jobs that help others, but these specific types of jobs typically have people who are highly driven to give back in order to improve other people's quality of life. Not everyone has the energy to do that.

2. You don't feel guilt

Well, everyone experiences guilt at some point in their life, but not in certain situations. Recently, a girl I am somewhat friendly with gave me and my friends a ride. My first instinct was to offer her gas money, because I am a giver and that's the right thing to do. She said yes with guilt, and I was going to kind of forget it because she was driving at the time. And as the ride went on, I could see that parts of the inside of her car were broken, and she ran out of gas. She paid for her gas, but when we got to the ice cream store I snuck money into her pocketbook, and my other friend paid for her ice cream. It's the little things like that that givers feel no guilt doing. Not once did I think, "Well there goes 10 bucks that I could've spent on myself". I know I have plenty, and if someone else doesn't, I want to help. Knowing you can live without it, giving something valuable away will better someone else and make you feel much better.

3. You feel happiness for others

Maybe it's a sport you're watching someone else play, or maybe it's a chance/experience another person gets to experience. You're glad to give them that chance. For example, I am a camp counselor and I love giving campers the best summers of their lives. I was a camper once too, and I loved what I got, so why not give it back in return? You just want to give others your happiness, and there are so many ways you can do that!

These signs are so simple, yet so important. Not everyone is a natural-born giver. And if you are, you know it. You can relate to these things, and you've been given credit for doing these things.

I enjoy being a giver because I can watch others be happy, feel happy, and look happy.

It's the little things in life.

And while you're at it, check out Drake's incredible music video to his newest song, "God's Plan". He is a true giver:

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
