We've all been there: you run out of something and need to make a quick run to Target. You're only there to get one thing, but by the time you know it, you're back home hours later with a bunch of random stuff and not the thing you went there for. This is not the first time this happened and it won't be the last.
Here are the things you didn't mean to buy at Target and the excuses you made to buy them.
1. Candles
"It smells so good. And I'm running low on candles anyways."
2. Something from the Nate Berkus collection
"Could I pick out Nate Berkus in a line up? No. But, gosh doesn't he make cute home decor items."
3. Socks
"Who doesn't need a pair of socks? Or five."
3. Something from that weird little section at the front of the store, that's kind of like a dollar section, but not all of it's a dollar
"It was like $3 and I'm sure I'll use it sometime."
4. Dishes of some sort
"I need to eat and drink to live, and I need something to eat and drink out of."
5. Scarf/Hat/Mittens
"Warmth is another key to survival, and plaid is so in right now."
6. Something travel-sized
"I can take this on that trip that I've always wanted to go on. Or put it in my purse. What the hell, it's only 99 cents."
7. Stationary / Office Supplies
"I've always been saying that I need to get more organized or start hand-writing letters."
8. Something from the Up & Up brand
"How is it always cheaper than name brand?!?!"
9. A snack
"I got hungry and opened it. Now I have to buy it."
10. A weird home decor item that you don't need whatsoever
"But it's so cute, how could I not?"
11. Something from the check-out line
"One last thing for the road."
