The 10 Types Of People You Meet In College

College is about meeting new people and starting new friendships and relationships. Throughout this journey of meeting and seeing people everywhere I go, I have started to notice that there are about 10 different groups of people.

1. The Overachiever

This guy/gal does it all. They are the president of 12 different clubs, gets into any party, and extremely insta-famous. Odds are everyone knows he/she on campus, but they have no clue who you are.

2. The "Never on Time" Person

We all know someone like this. Whether it has to do with plans or homework, this person is always late. They never know when an assignment is due and aren't always the most reliable.

3. The Person You Wish You Were

This person has their life together. They have all A's and still have an amazing social life. Somehow they have enough time to do everything they need to while the rest of us struggle to survive.

4. The Party Animal

Who doesn't love to party? However, this person never wants the party to end. You practically have to drag them out of the party to get home before 4am.

5. The Fashionista

He or she is always looking 100x better than you. How do they wake up for their 9:30am class and look that good? It is truly inspiring.

6. The Complainer

This person is always upset about something. It could be the most beautiful day and this person is still complaining/crying about the tiniest thing.

7. The Walk of Shame

I respect these people. Clearly they have no shame walking to their dorm the next morning of a wild night wearing the same outfit. It happens, represent it.

8. The Future Professor

This person knows more about the topic being taught than the professor. They will whisper things under their breath throughout the entire lecture. These are the type of people you want to help you study for the next exam.

9. The Confused One

This person is always just wondering, "what is going on". This is me 24/7. This person just goes with the flow and never knows what will be occurring within the next hour, day, lifetime.

10. The Hungry One

We all are secretly this person. This person is always down for food 24/7 or it is someone you see whenever you are at the dining hall. They probably assume you are this type of person and odds are you guys should become best buds.

Maybe reading this made you realize that you are one of these people. Maybe you're a mixture of them all, who knows?

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
