Going home after a long time can be so exciting. You get to see your childhood home, all your friends that you haven't seen in a while, and all the big plans you make during the time you are there. Here are a few of the stages that we all go through when we go home for Christmas.

1. When you just can't handle your excitement on the car ride over.

2. Walking up to your house and trying to stay calm.

3. When you see all the Christmas decorations your parents put up.

4. When you see your puppy for the first time in forever.

5. When you are ready to have some of your mom's good homemade meals.

6. Realizing that all your high school friends will be in the same city as you.

6. Finally reuniting with your friends.

7. Catching up on all the new gossip!

8. When you won't let your best friend go because you need to be with them 24/7.

9. Realizing you will have to eventually let go and say goodbye once again.

10. But at the end of your visit you're thankful you have something so great to come back to.
