Do y'all use Spotify? I use it constantly and I'm always wondering what songs I'm listening to the most. It's so hard to pick a favorite song and I never know what to say when someone asks, either because I like SO many. Well this year, I used 2017wrapped.com to figure it out! You connect this website to your Spotify and it tells you how much music you listened to and what your most popular song and genres were over the course of the year. I thought this was a super cool website and if you're an avid Spotify user, you should definitely check it out.
The website gives you a lot of really cool information on your listening history over the year. Over 2017, I listened to 40,741 minutes of music, 3,271 different songs, and 1,354 different artists. I also explored 34 different genres, which is crazy because I thought I listened to the same genres over and over again.
I thought I would include some of my top songs from this year as a little wrap-up. In no specific order, here are 10 of my top songs from 2017 (get ready for an eclectic list y'all) :
1. "New Man" by Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran released some dope music this year. This entire album is fantastic which I guess is why he is still topping the charts.
2. "Sleep on the Floor" by The Lumineers
If you haven't listened to The Lumineers, oh my gosh, please do. This song makes me super excited to travel next month.
3. "Gooey" by Glass Animals
This song is a little weird but my friend made me listen to it and its just one of those that grows on you.
4. "Shot Down" by Khalid
5. "Rich White Girls" by mansionz
I mean, Blackbear and Mike Posner? What a duo.
6. "Bad Things" by Machine Gun Kelly and Camilla Cabello
Such a catchy tune.
7. "Ignition" by R. Kelly
A little throwback, but what a good song.
8. "Praying" by Kesha
I think we can all agree that when Kesha came back, she came back strong.
