Dear best friend,

Hey, hi, hello. You know who you are. I just want to take a minute to thank you for being a rocking human being. You are always there for me, even if you can't physically be wherever I am. I can always count on you to make me laugh or smile on the worst of bad days. The simple fact that you call yourself my best friend means that you're a stellar human being because I know that I am a handful.

Thank you for always being willing to jam out to The Killers, watch Wes Anderson movies, send weird memes, or just sit and do nothing. I easily stress myself out and I can't thank you enough for being one of the few people who's taught me it's okay to let go and relax every once in a while. You've been my best friend, confidante, and therapist all in one. You're always willing to listen to the most trivial problems and are right there to give me advice. You're not afraid of tough love and to tell me how it is which is what I need sometimes. I appreciate your brutal honesty even if it doesn't seem like it at the time.

Thank you for letting me share my writing with you. Thank you for always being my number one fan and supporting me in whatever endeavor I've decided upon. Thanks for letting me be my truest self--however melancholy, hyper, or goofy that "me" looks like at the time.

I am so unbelievably proud of you. I cannot wait to see what things you achieve in this life because you are incredible. It takes a lot of courage to take on what you have these last few months and it's been amazing to witness. I'm so happy that you're acting on what you've found a passion for--some people never get that far. I constantly look up to you (haha, get it? You're also way taller than me). You've given me a lot of strength when life seemed incredibly dark. I am so grateful to have you in my life, and I don't think I tell you that enough. I'll always be here for you, whether you want me to be or not. You've always supported me and listened when I felt alone, and I truly hope you know I will always return the favor. Now hurry home so we can watch Stranger Things and listen to The Killers.

Love,

Your best friend

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
