For years we have celebrated Thanksgiving, but as time goes on, we gloss over the meaning and spirit of it. It's a holiday that has become less popular because kids are more excited about getting candy on Halloween and opening on Christmas day. Thanksgiving allows families and friends to spend time with one another and enjoy their company. Here are 10 reasons why Thanksgiving isn't as popular as Christmas:
1. There are hardly any Thanksgiving songs.
2. ...Which means it's usually Christmas as soon as Halloween is over.
3. There aren't too many Thanksgiving movies either.
4. You just sit and eat on Thanksgiving Day.
5. ...But you usually do that with your family all the time.
6. There are no gifts being given.
7. ...or received.
8. There are limited holiday decorations for Thanksgiving.
9. Some people forget that it's even a holiday.
10. ...Because Black Friday starts at midnight on Thanksgiving Day.
