Boyfriend,

We have been together for almost two years now, and you have witnessed every side of me. You have stuck by me on my good days and motivated me on my bad days. You have seen me cry, laugh, yell, and complain and yet your still here. You know every one of my corks and are always finishing my sentences. I can not thank you enough for always supporting me and pushing me to be the best that I can be.

Thank you for always making me laugh. Whenever I am feeling down you always know how to pick me right back up. You tell me jokes, show me funny things, and always know just what to say to put a smile on my face.

Thank you for dealing with my sass. I know that sometimes I can be sassy and I just want to thank you for putting up with it.

Thank you for always holding me to high expectations. When you hold me to expectations higher than ones I set for myself I strive to achieve more. I appreciate that you believe in me so much. Reaching for the goals we create together is what motivates me to accomplish my dreams.

Thank you for accepting me for who I am. You know the real me, the one without makeup, in sweatpants with my hair tied up. You know more about me than anyone else knows and you value the real me. You see who I am from the inside out and to me that is so special.

Thank you for always knowing what I need. You always know just what I need to hear. If I am having a bad day you cheer me up. If I am worrying over useless things you remind me that they are not important. You have helped me to prioritize my stress and you have taught me how to not let people bother me.

Thank you for giving me a second family to love. Thank you for welcoming me into your family and always making me feel like I am apart of the family. Thank you and your family for always welcoming me with a smile and always being there to help me with everything that you can.

Thank you for loving my family. I have a very big family and you always great them with a smile and kindness. You are genuine and respectful and I could not be happier that you always try to get along with them. I am proud when I get to show you off to them so they can see how great you are.

Thank you for growing up with me. Thank you for growing up with me and letting me grow up with you. Seeing you accomplish your goals brings me so much pride for you and only makes me love you more. Getting to grow up by perfecting ourselves and plan for our future has been the biggest blessing I could ever ask for.

And most importantly thank you for loving me. Thank you for everything you do for me I appreciate it more than words can say. You have shown me the kind of person I can be and I never want to be that person without you by my side. I love you.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
