Let me start off my saying I honestly do not know where I would be without you.

Since we became friends you have always been a light in my life. Your constant smile and contagious laugh can always make my day or put me in a better mood.

We have always clicked right from the start, even telling people we are twins-- based off of our looks and personalities. You have always been, and hopefully always will be, someone that I can rely on and turn to; especially in times of need. I have gone through many groups of friends trying to find where I fit in and I am so glad I have found it with you.

What I do appreciate most about you is that you are always my number one fan and biggest supporter. When I do not believe in myself I know I can always count on you to believe in me. Through my hardest of times you have always stuck by my side and made me feel wanted, loved, and appreciated. Especially when I am unsure of what might be best you always support every decision I make and push me to be an even better me. Especially, when it comes to my future you are always the first person to tell me that I can and will achieve everything I set out to do and become.

One of my favorite parts about you is your quirky personality. You are so strange and bizarre, but I would not take you any other way. From the strange things you say to the stupid things you do you are always able to keep me laughing. I love all our memories and constant adventures I will always remember and laugh when I think back on them. Honestly, sometimes I really question your sanity, but at the same time if you were anymore normal I would also question you just as much. Never change who you are for anyone.

Of course, you know how great you are, or at least I hope you do know now. I hope that I am even just half the friend that you are because you really are one in a million and I and beyond thankful you have you in my life.

They always that you should treat people the way you want to be treated and you very clearly exercise that. You are the type of friend everyone needs in their life.

I am forever grateful to have you in my life

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines.
