Teachers have been a part of our lives since we learned how to spell our own name. They have helped shape us into who we are today, and have provided us with the knowledge we needed to know before being sent out into the real world.
We've all had encounters with teachers that weren't how we wanted them to go, but this is for the teachers who have never given up on us, given us unbiased advice when needed, and cared for us like their own children.
I've had a number of teachers in my life who have impacted myself as well as the classmates around me. I'm also the daughter of a teacher and granddaughter of a retired teacher, so I've been around them for a while. Teachers are entirely under appreciated and not paid enough for what they do and go through. This is a thank you to the teachers who have let their passion prevail when it comes to teaching.
Thank you for not giving up on me. When lessons have been hard and I've needed extra time outside of class to further understand something, you've sacrificed your lunch, after school, and before school time to help me learn. You've done your best to teach at the pace of the students as a whole where we feel comfortable, instead of at the pace you want to teach.
Thank you for giving me genuine advice about anything and everything, even if you didn't want to listen. I know I've had days when I've been in bad or confused moods and came into your classroom at inconvenient times just to talk about something. You've always told me what's best no matter the situation, even when you were busy.
Thank you for caring about what you do and the people you teach. Not many teachers care about what they do, especially who they teach, and it creates a negative environment for everyone. You have come to work and given it your all no matter what, and treated all of us like we were kids of your own. When you show us that you care, we care even more and respect it more than you know. Your passion inspires us to do our best.
Thank you to all of the teachers out there who sacrifice so much for so little in return, and for helping make me into who I am today.
