Our family surrounded the table, shared why we were all thankful, and stuffed our faces 'til we began to resemble Santa.
Now that Thanksgiving is over, the panic begins to set in; the year is coming to an end, students have to worry about finals, and our money seems to disappear into thin air. Don’t let all the stresses get to you--here are some things we can be thankful for after Thanksgiving!
1. Christmas
Seems like during fall we are jumping from one holiday to the next: Halloween to Thanksgiving to Christmas, then, to New Years. Regardless of how much holiday hopping we are doing, Christmas always seems to stand out the most.
2. Shopping
Whether you take part in Black Friday shopping or just do some Christmas shopping, it is so exciting to express how much you care about someone by getting them exactly what they want.
3. Christmas Break
FINALLY students get a break from the endless amounts of responsibilities. We get to sleep in a little later, shower a little less, and skip out on coffee altogether.
4. New Years
I remember before 2016 started everyone was saying, “2016 will be my year,” but I think we all didn’t expect the year to be the year it actually was. This roller coaster of a year is finally coming to an end (thank god).
5. Holiday Food
Even tho we just stuffed our faces during Thanksgiving, who says that has to be the only day we overeat?
6. Presents
7. Seeing Relatives
Although we have most of our family on Facebook to stay connected with, it’s not the same as being in person. The Holidays bring everyone together and let all of you share the past year's events.
8. Holiday Cheer
Minus the scrooges of the World, everyone seems to be spreading the Holiday cheer. It’s a time we can forget about what we don’t have and just be happy we are still alive, have our health, and help out those in need.
