Dear Mom and Dad,
Thank you for making me the woman I am today. Through the years you have taught me right from wrong. Showed me how to be strong even though times are tough. You have both done so much for me over the years and I do not know how to repay you. As I begin the next chapter of my life, getting ready to leave for college has made me realize how much you both mean to me.
To my mom, thank you for being my best friend.
Even when I threw a fit, blew things way out of proportion and can be overdramatic at times, you were right there along the way. You comforted me when times were tough.
I had no idea that you were right at the times, but you always were.
You taught me to never give up when I believed in something.
You let live out my dream. Being with me in New York, singing on the Carnegie Hall stage. Never missing a play I was in. Being at every choir concert I had.
Thank you for teaching me to be strong, even when I didn't want to be.
Thank you for coming home for work, even though you were tired, and just being there for us when we needed you.
Thank you for taking care of me while I was sick.
I know I don't say it enough, but thank you for being you. Thank you for everything, Ma. I love you so much.
To my dad, thank you for always being my protector.
Thank you for the tough love. We didn't always see eye to eye, but that's because you wanted what's best for me.
Thank you for showing me when I can do better. For showing me how to work hard and never give up.
Thank you for pushing me to do my best and seeing that you were right.
Thank you for teaching me how to be strong and stand up for my self.
I know I always complained, but thank you for being strict. Thank you for waiting up for me and always making sure I was safe.
More importantly, thank you for always keeping me safe.
I will never be able to thank you enough for all you have given me. I love you, dad.
Thank you both for the many lessons you've taught me and will teach me. Thank you for loving me for who I am. Thank you for helping me grow as the person I am today. I will work hard and make y'all proud.
Giving you all of my love,
Caitlyn
