Thank You To My Many Families
Stocksnap.io

This is an open letter to my friends and their families; I want to thank you all. I want to thank you for welcoming me into your lives and for taking me in like I am one of your own. You will never understand how much it means!

I don't just have one family... I have many and although they may not be blood, they mean the world to me. Having more than one family is honestly a blessing. They are the sweetest people ever! Never in a million years did I ever imagine having all these great people in my life that I can consider my family. One thing I do know is that they are now stuck with me for life!

The best part of this entire thing is that not only do I have my own crazy family parties and vacations I get to attend, but I also get to be part of their crazy family parties and vacations as well. Let me tell you a little something about a vacation I took with two of my friends and her family. We went to Atlantic City and let’s just say it was very exciting and eventful. I had never been to the ocean until I went on this trip, but then it got eventful to the point that I was totally convinced I was stung by a jellyfish... Turns out there isn’t even jellyfish there. Jokes on me.

I would like to send a special thank you to one of my friends and her family for basically making me a cousin in their family. I always feel so welcome when I am around them and their children. I especially want to say thank you for blessing me with some more “little cousins” that I love as if they were blood-related. It honestly melts my heart when they run up to me and hug me like they have known me for years, or when the littlest one finally says “Courtney.”

A special thank you to a friend and her family I just really started to get close to again this last year. You all rock. I can honestly say that I never leave your house hungry and I know if I do, it’s my own fault. Your family might be a little crazy, but that’s okay because so is mine! You guys make me feel welcome all the time no matter what the situation.

As you can see, I have some of the greatest friends and I don’t know what I would do without them! You all mean the world to me, this letter isn’t even enough to explain how thankful I am for you all! I owe you all the world and one day I hope to be able to give you all the world! With that being said, I love you all so much and again thank you!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
