To The Two Who Gave Me Everything

Mom & Dad, this one is for you and is really just one big "thank you."

To The Two Who Gave Me Everything

To the two people who are and will continue to be my biggest role models — Mom & Dad, this one is for you and is really just one big "Thank You."

These two people have taught me so much about life, love, family & showed me the type of parents (and spouse) that I know I will strive to be. These two have given me the world, plus some, and for that, I will be forever thankful. Out of all of the words, I will never be able to form any them together to express how thankful and appreciative I am for everything they have ever done and will continue to do.

Thank you for giving your three daughters everything we could ever ask for, plus some.

I cannot think of a time we ever had to 'want' for much. You have always given us everything we could ever ask for, even if we did not need it. I would never even be able to count the amount of time we went to the mall for hours on end and shopped for the things we didn't need, but you got us anyways (even if we had to hide the bags from dad). There was never a year we did not go on our yearly family summer vacation and we are all so thankful for every hard earned dollar you saved so we would always have that two week period during summer to soak up the sun and make countless memories as a family together.

Thank you for showing us an outstanding example of what marriage is supposed to be.

I could probably count on one hand the number of times that I have heard or seen a fight (Not counting the arguments about whether or not dad should get the nightly snack and for once it isn't mom). All of our lives we have seen nothing but constant support and love and a true example of what marriage should be like. Mom, you have shown what it is like to constantly love and support your spouse no matter what, even during football season (especially playoffs). You two have taught us that it is never okay to keep secrets from one another, besides the price tag on some items after a shopping trip, but that doesn't count, right? You have shown us exactly what kind of marriage we should strive for when the time comes.

Thank you for your constant support.

You have always been so supportive of everything we have ever wanted to do, any sport we wanted to play, and every dream we wanted to chase. There has never been a time that we felt alone and like we didn't have the support from you two, so once again, thank you.

I am so thankful to be your daughter and I know I will never be able to thank you enough for all you've done and I know that you will continue to do. I am so lucky to have you two as my parents. Thank you a million times.

All my love.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
