When I decided to attend a school with over 30,000 students, I was definitely intimidated. I was worried that I would struggle to make new friends, and I was worried that on such a large campus, no one would notice me.
But this year, I have met some of the most amazing people that I can't remember life without. So I'd like to take the time to thank the wonderful people that I now consider some of my closest friends.
To Heather Wright,
Your determination to save the world inspires me to become a better and more mindful person. Thank you for being my go-to gal for everything Taylor Swift.
To Keyla Doblado,
Coming into college, the intimidation I faced coming here caused me to put a shell around myself. Your vibrant and social personality helped me to break my shell and meet new people. Thank you for the late nights and the many laughs.
To Sofi Taher,
You were one of the first people I met here, and I am so thankful for that. Your kind personality and bright smile make my bad days a little less bad. Thank you for the deep discussions about television shows.
To Syd Cohen,
Your confident personality inspires me to fight for what I believe in, and you're always the first one to make me laugh. Thank you for being my new show-tune singing partner.
To Maggie Paulk,
Your involvement and drive inspire me to work as hard as I can, and you are a style ICON. Thank you for always being up to sing ABBA with me.
To Sophia Thomas,
Your honest personality makes it so easy to talk and share things with you. Thank you for being my gym buddy, and for always being down to have a good time.
To Cooper Hanft,
Thank God for Jerzees night for making us friends. I'm glad I met someone who has the same sense of humor for me. Thank you for the Bolton dinners and intense Marvel discussions.
To Jack Cenatempo,
You set high goals for yourself and you work tirelessly until you accomplish them, and you inspire me to do the same. Thank you for always being down to sing a 90s song with me.
To Pierce Pittman,
Nothing makes me smile more than hearing you say "Hey y' all!" and greeting me with a hug. Your self-confidence and creativeness inspire me every day. Thank you for sharing your love of Beyonce with me.
To Madison Henry,
I know you're not a new friend, but you're still one of my closest. Thank you for still sticking with me through this crazy first year of adulthood. I know I'll always have a friend in you.
Keep on being rock stars and keep on changing the world! I love you all.
