Mom,
You've been there for me since day one, literally. You were the first to hear my heartbeat, the first to see my little body on that screen. You were the first to hold me, the first to hug me. You were the first person I knew, the first person I loved. You put braces on me (huge thanks BTW), helped me get my license, and held my hand when it came time to open those college acceptance letters. I want to take a moment to thank you for everything you do for me.
Thank you for always having my back. Your mama bear instincts unleash when someone hurts your cub. You were always the first person at my school's office to speak on my behalf, even if you think I was in the wrong. You put up with me through my hardest years. You were the one who drove me to school every day because I hated taking the bus. I know now that the extra trip made things difficult for you, but you did it anyway. You're always there for me when I get myself into a pickle, and you help with no hesitation. You let everyone know that you're my mom, and that you're the one who knows what's best for me, thank you.
Thank you for making sure that I have everything that I need. You always ask me if I'm hungry, cold, or if there's anything that I need; your number one concern is if I'm OK. You call me every day to see how my day went and it really means a lot to me. You always ask me if I have enough money, or if I need you to bring something to school for me because you don't want me going without, thank you.
Thank you for going without to ensure that I don't. You always think of me before yourself even when I know you deserve to treat yourself. You have helped me go through school all of these years and I couldn't have done it without your love and support. You are willing to give me everything I need before buying yourself a pack of gum, thank you.
I know being a mom is the hardest job in the world, but you're doing an awesome job. I know you may think that there are things you could do better but you have given me everything that I have ever needed. I may not be driving a brand new car, but that kind of stuff doesn't matter because I have an amazing mother who loves me, and that's all I could ask for. Thank you for being my number one supporter, my rock, for loving me for the pain in the ass that I am. I wanted to let you know how much I appreciate you, and everything you do for me on a daily basis.
Your unconditional love has shaped me into the person I am today, and I am forever grateful, I love you.
Love,
Me
