There are a lot of people I'd like to thank for helping me to get where I am today, and I would like to start primarily with my cats.
Who's going to be there when you need someone? Your cats. Who's gonna be there to listen to how your day was? Your cats. Who's always going to be compliant toward taking a selfie? Your cats, that's who.
I want to thank my cats for always being there. They were there for every major event in my life: birthdays, breakups, holidays, graduations. When I didn't have a friend to cry to, I had my cats right there, being in my way (but on purpose to show me they were there for me, obviously). If I needed something to cover part of my face for an acceptable picture, I could easily use a cat. Or if I simply wanted a picture with a cat, I could use my cat. If I wanted someone to dress up with me for some holiday, especially Halloween, the people I could always count on were my cats. Though they sometimes put up a fight, in the end I could always convince (force) them to wear a costume with me. What a bunch of dedicated pals.
Cats are the best kinds of friends to have. It's like having tiny furry best pals. And that's the best way to have them, if you ask me. Cats will never break your heart. Cats will never stab you in the back. Cats will always think you're the coolest human ever (with enough treat persuasion). Cats will warm you up. Cats will also remind you, by getting severely in your way, that there are some things far more important than work. Those things are in fact the cats.
So after all these years, I want to finally thank my cats for everything they have done for me. Thanks for being my feet warmers. Thanks for binging TV shows with me. Thanks for licking my plate clean so it's less effort to wash later. Thank you for being you, cats.
