A Thank You Letter To My iPod Classic

You may not know how to talk, but you sure know how to sing.

A Thank You Letter To My iPod Classic
Business Insider

These days it seems like everyone is so caught up in social media, fancy gadgets and phones, so I just want to say a quick thank you to my one trusty 160-gigabyte friend, my iPod Classic.

To My Beloved iPod Classic,

Thank you for being there for me when I was alone in my room. For your battery lasting over two weeks without charging you. For not breaking after the countless times my klutzy hands have dropped you on tile or hardwood floor (they just don't make them like they used to). For the random dance parties while I blasted BackStreet Boys on my stereo. For not getting mad at me when I replayed songs over and over again when they first came out, even if my parents hated hearing them. For playing the best throwbacks on shuffle when I needed a pick me up. For letting me cry on my pillow while I listened to Ed Sheeran. For not judging me as I sang/screamed along to Adele in my bathtub. For playing songs that remind me of my favorite memories. And for playing songs that remind me of my toughest times and how I got through them.

Thank you for giving me a reason to procrastinate. And for giving me a distraction when I most needed it. Thank you for your consistency and your reliability.

Thank you for helping me fall asleep when I had 250 things on my mind and just couldn't get to rest. Thank you for skipping from Nicki Minaj to the "Chicken Dance." For the entertainment on long car rides in the backseat. For holding endless Disney songs and Broadway soundtracks. For letting me play "Down" by Jay Sean 180 times on repeat when it first came out. For playing Pachelbel's Cannon when you knew I needed to hear my favorite song.

Thank you for letting me create my own soundtrack to my life, and thank you for always being there to let me listen to it.

Sincerely,

Your Best Friend

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
