Dad.
A daughter's first love.
The person she can look up to in anything and everything no matter what. Whether it's sports or asking his opinion on what to wear, he'll always be there even though he is going to pick the most modest outfit every time. But really, I can always count on him for the most honest opinion every single time.
Thank you, daddy, for making me love sports and making me competitive in almost everything I do. I will never forget when you would try and teach me how to throw a football and would just wait for the day I could out throw the boys next door.
From playing football and baseball to soccer in the front yard, we did it all. I always admired how good you were at everything, and still do. I thought it was so cool and strived to be the best athlete I could be because of all that you taught me and also to make you proud.
You always encouraged me to work my hardest and never give up. Even after a bad game, I could always count on you to be there to give me a hug no matter what. You made me the strong athlete I was and were the reason I always knew to get right back up after something happened. Except for the time, I actually broke my collar bone and you were trying to convince me I was fine. But really, I love you for that!
Sorry, you didn't get that little boy you could teach football and baseball to, but I know you got your fair share of trying to teach us, three girls, as much as you could before we got bored and wanted to go play dress up or barbies.
I also know you got your fair share of telling me what was going on in football games, and still do. I will never forget sitting at the very top of Davis Wade Stadium asking you so many questions about why this happened and why that. Looking back at it though, I wouldn't trade those memories for the world. If it has to deal with sports, I know you'll always know the answer!
I will always talk sports with you, even if I have no clue what's going on. I will always look up to as a great athlete, and most importantly an even better Dad.
Love you Crawfish!
