I could write a book about all of the things that I am thankful for, but here are 20 for starters. I am so grateful.

1. Being your boyfriend.

I never imagined I would have someone like you in my life, thank you for everything you do. You're the coolest guy around!!

2. Being so supportive.

Whether you're supporting me in my career, or cheering me on for eating that massive cheeseburger, you're always there when I need you.

3. Being himself.

You are the most genuine human I've ever met. I'm so grateful for you and every shenanigan we get into.

4. Telling you "it's okay," even when it isn't.

My anxiety really gets to me sometimes, and you're always there to tell me that the situation will be okay, even when I don't think it will be.

5. Reminding you that everything will be fine.

As long as I have you, I know that everything will be okay. Thank you for the subtle, and not so subtle, reminders that everything will be alright.

6. Trying new things with you.

Whether it's trying that new steak place, painting, or playing a new game, you're always up to try something new. I love our adventures!

7. Grabbing that thing out of the kitchen that you forgot you left in the kitchen.

I'm always forgetting my drink or phone somewhere. Thanks for getting up to get it even when I know it can be a chore.

8. Making you food.

Thanks for all the late night pancakes, toast, or PB&J's :-)

9. Putting up with your craziness.

You have the patience of a God. I don't know how you do it.

10. Being honest with you.

You put me in my place when I need it. You tell me if that dress doesn't look good, and you always have the best advice. Thank you.

11. Asking you first (even when he doesn't have to).

Thank you for asking me first if I mind if the guys come over or if you make plans. You never have to ask, but I appreciate that you communicate with me so openly.

12. Telling you that you're pretty when you are *not* looking too hot.

I wake up *not* so flawless. Thank you for being nice about my retainer that I've had since I was 14 years old.

13. Taking a genuine interest in your day.

Sometimes I don't do much. Sometimes all I do is watch Bob's Burgers, thank you for asking which episode I'm on.

14. For reminding you that he loves you.

Whether it's morning, noon, or night, I'm never left wondering about my boyfriend's feelings. That's the most reassuring thing that I could ever ask for!

15. Being so dang NICE.

SO!!! NICE!!!! You do everything in your power to make sure that I'm happy, and I can never thank you enough for that. But it's not just me that you're nice to. Whether it's volunteering, buying food for the homeless, or going out of your way to make someone smile....I'm so lucky to have you.

16. Writing you little notes.

Notes mean the world to me, it's the thought that counts!

17. Rubbing your back when you know he just wants to sleep.

Thank you for staying awake to give me that last minute shoulder rub when I know that the last thing you want to be is awake.

18. Staying up with you when you can't sleep.

I've never met anyone who can fall asleep so quickly! Thank you for all of the nights you've stayed awake (and drank a lot of Mountain Dew to do so) to make sure that I got some rest too.

19. Sending you that good morning/ goodnight text.

I know texts aren't everything, but I'd be a liar if I said that isn't what I look forward to when I'm away from home.

20. For loving you.

I can be a handful. But you have never made me feel that way. You make me feel like a queen. I can never thank you enough for making me feel a new and renewed sense of self worth. Wherever you go, you bring happiness. Thank you for being my sunshine.

You're the bee's knees, babe. Whether we're decorating our apartment, going to the grocery store, making dinner, or sitting watching TV...everyday is a new adventure with you. I love you too much.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
