The Ultimate Thank You List My Mother Deserves
Constance Woodard

My mother has done so much for me in my short 19 years. And even as I've said before in 12 Ways My Mom Is Better Than Yours, she means the most to me.

She knows life without me, but I never want to know life without her. Often times I get so caught up in living my own life, that I forget to stop and take appreciation for the most important woman in my life. So here is my attempt at the thank you list my mother deserves:

1. Thank you for loving me even when I don’t love myself.

2. Thank you for always letting me have “one” bite of your food.

3. Thank you for putting me through ballet.

4. Thank you for not allowing me to quit ballet.

5. Thank you for still cooking dinner on nights when you were too tired to even stand.

6. Thank you for always singing in the car with me, even though I don’t have the voice of an angel like you.

7. Thank you for not giving up on your own dreams.

8. Thank you for showing me how important it is to have my own dreams.

9. Thank you for meeting my stepdad.

10. And thank you for forcing me to hang out with him even when I didn’t want to.

11. Thank you for forcing me to do chores.

12. Thank you for almost always answering the phone when I need it most.

13. Thank you for working multiple jobs at a time to provide for our family.

14. Thank you for always forcing us to go to family events.

15. Thank you for forgiving me even when sometimes I can’t forgive myself.

16. Thank you for making my favorite dinners every time I visit home.

17. Thank you for being selfless.

18. Thank you for always donating to the fundraiser called my life.

19. Thank you for never giving up on yourself.

20. Thank you for teaching me to always try to see the best in others.

21. Thank you for praying for me.

22. Thank you for being my parent before being my friend.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
