Dear dogs,

Big dogs. Small dogs. Medium dogs. Puppy dogs. Old dogs. Fluffy dogs. Not so fluffy dogs. Cute dogs. Not so cute dogs. ALL DOGS.

You may not be perfect all the time. For example, when you decided to chew apart the entire new leather couch... Yeah, not one of your best decisions. Or when you ate an entire birthday cake just because you couldn't resist.

But regardless of your minimal mistakes, I would like to say, thank you. You adorable creatures do not get the credit you all deserve. A dog is really a man's best friend. A world without dogs is most definitely a world not worth living in.

On our off days, we humans, turn to you guys for love and affection. And without a doubt, you always give us that endearment. Even if you don't want to be there for us, you are anyways. Those tender puppy dog eyes or a crazy bark in the face to show us that you really do love us can make our smile turn a little brighter. With open paws and all, you let us cry to you when we are sad and you let us rant to you when we are mad.

Thank you for eating our leftovers or all the foods we secretly hate. You're always down to eat anything and I mean, literally ANYTHING. It's also a convenience when we're cooking and we don't have to worry about cleaning the floor because your tongue already did the work for us. This occurrence is really a win-win situation for the both of us.

When the New Year comes around and we all want to be just a little healthier, we can count on your eagerness to join us on a walk through the park. Don't worry, we'll spend some time playing catch with your favorite tennis ball too. What's better than having a dog be your workout buddy?

Thank you for defending us from predators in our home. Whether it's the pizza delivery guy ringing the doorbell or a cockroach moving around on the floor, you always feel the need to bark and attack to protect us from the dangers in this world. (Even though we really just want pizza and you think it's some crazy person trying to break in).We never have to feel alone in our home either. You make your presence known and that is so comforting.

For all the children in the world, they look up to you as their favorite furry friends. You guys do an amazing job being there for them even though they may annoy you sometimes with their loud behavior and how they can attain some of your wanted attention.

To be honest, we don't deserve you all. Thank you for everything you have done to make the human life better and be filled with happiness.
