It's getting time for the winter premieres again and TGIT or Thank Goodness It's Thursday is coming up again, which means the return of some of our favorite shows. One of mine in particular is Scandal which I'm excited to watch again.

I just want to start by saying I think Kerry Washington is an amazing actress and she's gorgeous!! She's portrays such a strong and powerful female in “Scandal” and I love every moment of it I will break down my thoughts about the show into two categories: Last Season and The Relationships.

Last Season

There's just a couple things from last season I'd like to discuss, Olivia Pope, Mellie and Olivia's relationship, and of course the whole story of last season.

As much as I love Kerry Washington, I did not like Olivia Pope too much by the end of last season. She started getting on my nerves with how power hungry she was. Honestly, she started reminding me too much of her father. I remember struggling through the last few episodes because I was frustrated with her (it's very hard to watch a show when the main character is starting to annoy you.)

Olivia is a great character and she's got a ton of levels but I haven't decided how I see her and her indecision bothers the heck out of me, but I'll get more into that later. Towards the end of the season I started seeing her more as an enemy rather than a hero, so I'm curious as to where Shonda Rhimes will go with her character. Olivia's the main character... she has be a hero, right?

My hopes for this season is she won't be as bad. I'm hoping she was just going through a tough time after her kidnapping, I miss the old Olivia Pope. Although, I did start to really enjoy her relationship with Mellie. It takes some strong women to put the past behind them enough to work together as they have been. (Although, I'm beginning to worry if Olivia is becoming an alcoholic or not, between her love for wine and Mellie's special drink, she's seen an awful lot drinking. I think Mellie is a bad influence on her!)

Despite how interesting Olivia and Mellie's relationship is, I hoping next season's storyline will be less frustrating. Other than Olivia, I'm so tired of her father. I don't want him killed but I'd like to see a new enemy. Her father annoys me so badly but he's such an interesting character. He got into everything and he somehow sees everything, it's crazy. We'll see what happens next, wonder if they'll finally take him down in the next season.

The Relationships: In Review

Relationships, something that I don't have to worry too much about in my life. Olivia however... finds herself in all kinds of relationships.

Olivia and Fitz

I may be one of the only ones, but I love her relationship with Fitzgerald Grant. Do I like that it started as an affair? No, but I like the actual couple aspects to their relationship. Fitz, while short tempered, seems to always have her best interests at heart. He sometimes smothers Olivia in an old-fashioned sort of the way but most of the time her opinion and happiness are the two most important things to him. I really wish it hadn't ended the way it did and I keep hoping they'll work it out. I hope in season 6 they'll work things out.

Olivia and Jake

I think Jake is a decent guy but I don't really think he's good for Olivia. Jake has too troubled a past and he's too connected to the evil B-16. I can never fully trust him and while he seems to make Olivia happy, I don't think she's really herself around Jake like she is with Fitz. Maybe season 6 will prove to me that he's a better guy than he seems but for now, I don't really agree with them and I think Olivia would be happier and better off with Fitz.

Huck and Quinn

A relationship was teased with these two at the beginning of the series and I thought they were super cute together. I like Charlie, Quinn's current boyfriend, but I really like her with Huck more. Huck has a lot of problems but it really just comes down to him being alone so, if he had Quinn, he'd have a woman he wouldn't need to lie to and that he could trust with his life. Plus, they have similar personalities which makes them very compatible. I'd like to see Huck happy because right now... I'm worried about him.

David and Susan Ross

I was so sad when these two broke up last season, I mean, he was cheating on her so that didn't help, but when he was done with Liz, the other woman, I really enjoyed his relationship with Susan Ross. They were so cute together, it'd be great if they got back together in the next season.

So, there's a lot of unanswered questions and the show ended at the height of the conflicts going on around the characters. I'm super excited to see what is coming in Season 6, despite my frustrations with some of last season. I'm looking forward to DVRing the new episodes, thank goodness for Thursday!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
