To all of the puppers that roam around campus:
You'll never know how grateful I am for you. When I'm rushing from class to class, stressed out of my mind, and I see your ears flopping and tail wagging, I can breathe a sigh of relief. You are a sign that there is still good in this world.
When you run up to me and let me scratch your little fluffy head, I know that we're both so very happy. This immediately becomes a mutually beneficial relationship.
I have to give a shout-out to your owners, who take time out of their day to pause and let me show you some love. Obviously they're used to it, especially all of those good-looking guys who know that they've instantly become a chick magnet by showing you off. Nonetheless, they probably have things to do and the fact that they stop to let you bring a smile to my face is just so generous.
I'm so disappointed that I have to wait all summer long till I can come back to school, plop myself down on the grass, and see your little legs running along. You're the best distraction I could have asked for, the best reason to procrastinate that there is.
Stay fluffy. Keep that tongue hanging out. And keep being the best boy.
I'll see you in August!
All the best,
Just your average doggo-loving college student
