Let's face it. Break-ups are not fun, let alone comfortable. There is no easy way to break-up with someone. There is no perfected script to follow. However, there is a right way and wrong way to break-up with someone. Below you will find 5 examples of what not to do when you go about breaking up with someone - you know so you can get all of the bad ideas out of your system.

1. Send them the link to 'Final Countdown' by Europe

Sometimes when it comes to breakups, the breakup may come out of the blue. You're in this season of rose-colored glasses, and then all of a sudden you have a realization of either a red flag, or what you truly want, and so on. In this time, you may want to prepare your soon to be ex-partner for the news. However, this is NOT how to do it. DO NOT send them the link to this song four minutes and fifty-six seconds before you have the conversation with them.

2. Sitting at Thanksgiving dinner with your soon to be ex and telling your family your thankful for your break-up

Sometimes you do not want to do the breaking up on your own or at least by yourself, being around close family or friends to help support you through the difficult time sounds ideal. And let's face it, sometimes your mom does know exactly what to say when delivering bad news. However, family Thanksgiving is not the place to break up with someone.

3. Having your mom call them and break-up for you

As mentioned before, moms are experts at knowing exactly how to be a bearer of bad news in the best way possible. Though this definitely takes the pressure off of you to actually do the breaking up; however, this is a low blow. Especially if you're over the age of twenty.

4. Sending them the link to 'Bye Bye Bye' by NSYNC and then blocking them on everything and never talking to them again

As savage as this may be, please be a decent human being and do not do this. Though you will never have to actually do the breaking up or ever talk to them again, this is not a good idea. If the conversation goes south, maybe you can send this to them after the fact.

5. Ask them if it is hot in here or if the relationship is suffocating you

When breaking up with someone you don't want to fully destroy them. You need to accept that they are human too, so please go about it kindly. Break-ups aren't about who had the best zinger.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.
