Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 19) — Spicy Peach Margarita

Aries, you love to have fun. It doesn't matter where you go or who you hang out with, you bring the party with you — much like tequila. Listen, if there isn't a party with tequila (or Aries), is it even a REAL party? Definitely NOT. Just like a shot of tequila, you are deep and warm, but you hit HARD. You're a Spicy Peach Margarita, made of sugar, spice, and everything nice.

Ingredients:

2 ounces tequila

1 ounce peach schnapps

1 tablespoon red pepper jelly

1 1/2 teaspoons lime juice

1 1/2 teaspoons sugar, optional

2 dashes bitters

Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a glass filled with ice. Garnish with rosemary. (Add a splash of club soda for a lighter drink).

Taurus (Apr 20 - May 20) — Passionfruit Green Tea Margarita

Taurus, just like tequila, you have an often brutally honest interior. You also enjoy the finer things in life and relaxation. You're this Passion Fruit Champagne Margarita.

Ingredients

3 1/2 ounces Tequila blanco

2 tablespoons agave syrup (or to taste)

juice of half a lime

2 passion fruit

chilled champagne or prosecco

Cut the passion fruit in half and spoon the pulp into a large glass or cocktail shaker. Pour in the tequila, agave syrup, and lime juice. Stir thoroughly and taste for sweetness — add more agave syrup if you prefer it sweeter or more lime juice if you like it sour. Strain the cocktail and pour into the glass. Top with chilled champagne or prosecco and garnish with a thin slice of passion fruit.

Gemini (May 21 - Jun 22) — Key Lime Beergarita

Gemini, you are a whirlwind. You want to have fun, you want to get crazy, and sometimes, you want to take all of your clothes off. And what better alcohol to help you do that than tequila! Like tequila, you are bold and you refuse to be ignored. You're like a Key Lime Beergarita.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 shots tequila blanco

1 shot triple sec

1/2 shot limeade

1/2 shot of key lime juice

1 1/2 shots of Corona

Pour all of the liquid ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Salt the rim of your margarita glass. Add ice to the glass, then the drink. Sip and enjoy!

Cancer (May 21 - Jun 20) — Tequila Sunrise

Cancer, you are a loving, loyal, and emotional partner or friend and there is nothing more loving than a Tequila Sunrise. It's easy to drink and you might end up having an emotional moment in the bathroom with a stranger after you've downed five.

2 oz. silver tequila

1/2 oz. grenadine

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
