Telltale's 'The Walking Dead' Season 1 Thoughts

I know I’m a little late to the show here, but I have recently finished Telltale's “The Walking Dead” Season One, and I must say, it is one of the best games I have played in a long time. With the story, the characters, and the choices, it is an amazing spectacle of a game.

The game is split into five episodes, and when it was released, the episodes were released about a month apart from each other. Thankfully, I am able to binge play all the episodes in one sitting.

The game uses choices, just like "Life Is Strange," and other episodic like games. The choices will affect whether characters live, die, and how those around you look at you as a person. And there’s also a time limit on most, if not all, choices, so you really have to be on your toes when these moments come up.

The characters are some of the best, well written characters I have ever come across in a video game. The characters had such depth and backstory that when they died, you cared and you also felt for the characters on some aspects because they are so relatable.

The story is separate from the show entirely, with the game being based on the comics. The story of the first season followed Lee Everett, a professor from UGA who is accused of killing a man who was sleeping with wife.

Lee is on his way to prison, when a walker stumbles into the road, causing the police car to crash off the side of the road. Lee is then thrown into the thick of the apocalypse.

After a struggle with how the world has gone to hell, he meets Clementine. A 10-year-old girl who’s parents have gone to Savannah and Clem is left with a babysitter, who has also turned. Lee becomes the “legal guardian” of Clem and they form a sort of father-daughter relationship.

The game really pulls at the heartstrings towards the end, and without spoiling it, the character has to make some pretty intense choices and it affects how season two plays out, which I can’t wait to get into as I hear season two is even better than season 1. I highly recommend checking this game out!

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
