As most of you know, this past week, Mac Miller passed away from an overdose. In the past few months, a handful of celebrities have died or overdosed. In light of these events, I've realized how short life is, especially if one ends very suddenly.
Looking at all these celebrities grieving and hurting from their close friends passing away, or overdosing, really made me think about the people in my life. What would I do? I'd be f*cking devastated if I lost any of the people I'm closest to like that. I don't even know how I'd handle it or even get past it, especially if it was one of my best friends or a past or present boyfriend.
I don't even want to think about it, to be honest.
Imagine how hard it is for celebrities to grieve in the eyes of the public. They're in the middle of grieving and being sad, but they also have to continue touring and working for their fans. As if that's not hard enough, there are people who pick apart the celebrities, blaming them for another person's death.
Is it not enough pain for them to be hurting from losing someone they love that you have to make them feel EVEN WORSE by blaming them, even when it WASN'T THEIR FAULT?
Ariana Grande left Mac Miller because it was a toxic relationship because of his drug use, not because she hated him. At the time of Mac's death, they were both in relationships. Mac's was a secret from the public, but it was later discovered he was dating someone.
Anyway, my point of all this sad talk is that life is short. Tell the people you love how much you care about them. Tell them that you're here for them. Urge them to get help if they're struggling. Tell the guy you like how you feel. Tell your family and friends that you love them. Take chances because you never know what you have until it's gone.
One day, you're not going to be here, and if you don't take an advantage of the life you have and you don't tell people how you feel, you'll regret it.
