News Channels In India

News programmes have unexpectedly gained popularity and are competing for viewers' attention with other popular shows that are broadcast on other networks. Every major television network now has at least one news station in its lineup. The most difficult part of creating a satellite channel is programming software for continuous operation. The 24-hour news stations' primary responsibility at this time is news collection. The newly developed electronic channels have consistently tried to cover all situations regardless of position, location, and time in order to fulfil this mission. Both the concept of news on Indian television and the news formats were altered by these networks. Prior to the 1990s, Doordarshan controlled the newscasts on Indian television and transformed them into dowdy affairs. Also Check: CTN News.

Indian Television - Flash Back:

The current liberalised climate is causing big changes to television in India. One needs a basic understanding of the history of television channels in order to comprehend these changes. With a financial grant from UNESCO, the journey began on a trial basis on September 15, 1959. The experiment was conducted at New Delhi's temporary studio at Akashvani Bhavan. The experiment began with a one-hour programme on topics like community health, citizen rights, education, and traffic sense that was broadcast twice a week. It was introduced exactly six years after the start of television broadcasting in terms of news. For latest Techno news

Golf War – The Catalyst:

In India, satellite television started to take on a global flavour around 1990. It happened at the same time when global corporations began to enter the Indian market as a result of the government's privatisation agenda. CNN's coverage of the Gulf War in 1991 was essential in the introduction of international satellite television to India. Richard Li introduced Star Plus in August 1991, becoming the first satellite station to broadcast its signal across the Indian subcontinent. Zee TV, founded by Subhash Chandra, debuted in October 1992. It is the first privately owned Hindi station in India and serves Indian viewers' interests. Following this ignition were Sony and, a little later, domestic networks like Eenadu, Asianet, and Sun TV.

Sorority
Rebekah Lee

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.
