Last week, I was in a lecture and my professor went on to discuss the invention of 8k TVs. Automatically, I thought, "Wait a second. 8k? Didn't we just commercialize 4k?" Well, guess what, ladies and gentlemen, I did a little bit of research and yes! 8k TVs have been invented and tested and it is absolutely stunning!
You might be thinking, "Hold up. It can't look that much better, right? 8k is only two times better than 4k." Wrong! Your standard 1080p HD television has over 2 million pixels (2,073,600 to be exact). 4k has four times that amount which makes 4k TVs have over 8 million pixels! I won't do any more math in this article so I'll just cut to the chase.
8k TVs have over 33 million pixels!
That is an insane amount of pixels compared to just over 10 years ago when most TVs only had over 300,000 pixels.
Anothe recent bit of tech news is currently freaking out the internet community is a video of a robot dog opening a door... what??? I'll admit that I don't like these robots slowly and surely getting able to do more and more stuff. This story, especially, makes me think of "Black Mirror" and if you haven't seen "Black Mirror" just know that it will mess with your mind and you will never look at anything the same.
Technology has come so far even in the last 10 years. It's getting super-advanced and it's beautiful and almost terrifying in a way. How far will technology go in the next ten years even? I'm really crossing my fingers for flying cars and shoes that tie themselves! Will it happen? Looks like all we can do is sit back and wait for those brilliant minds to do their thing.
