Taylor Swift Is More Than Her Exes And Revenge Songs

The girl deserves a much better reputation.

To some, Taylor Swift is just a singer in her late twenties with a lot of bitterness towards her exes, but she's so much more than that.

Luckily, when she hears negativity, she can just "Shake it Off." She definitely knows what the opinions are, but she's gracefully embraced the snake. It's great that she can live like that, but I get defensive. To me, a lifelong Swiftie, she is a strong thinker with a huge heart and nothing short of a genius when it comes to pretty much everything. I would never advise that she be underestimated; this extremely powerful and graceful woman knows exactly what she's doing.

I understand that those who don't keep up with Taylor Swift think she's a vengeful person who is constantly getting into arguments with anybody willing to take her on. After all, that is what the media focuses on, so how can that not be a lot of peoples' first impressions? But she was famous before there was beef with Katy Perry, before Kanye interrupted her and begged to play games, and before she had a bunch of famous exes.

When one loves an artist or anyone who feels and thinks as deeply as artists tend to, they are allowing that person to take their feelings any way they want to. Good or bad, it's their art and how they express themselves. Anyone who has gotten into a relationship with Taylor Swift knows that it's her style to write about the relationship, and possibly its aftermath. She isn't holding anyone to love her against their will.

To me, it seems like at the end of the day, having someone care so much to write a chart-topping hit about their love would be a great honor. The lyrics are always well produced and intricately written. It isn't like she doesn't care; she actually cares a lot. She also never admits who her songs are about, and sometimes she doesn't even say it's about anyone at all. For all anyone knows, her songs could be about fantasies she's made up in her head.

There are also arguments that because she doesn't immediately put her music up to be streamed that she is being stingy with her money. She just has the mindset that her music is worth something, which she has every right to. That isn't to say that those who do make their music available to the public don't put out music just as valuable, she just has a different way of doing things. She spends a lot of time and thought into everything she does and it is completely understandable that she would want to wait until her music hits the numbers she desires before giving it away.

People tend to forget that she's been donating to charities like the Red Cross, UNICEF and Habitat for Humanity since she was 16 and her first album debuted.

She also makes sure to make as many of her fans feel as loved as possible by singing at their weddings, inviting them to her house to hear secrets, sending them flowers and hand-written notes, and songs we can relate to. If you don't believe me, then click here to see what she recently did on "The Tonight Show" for Jimmy Fallon after returning to his show after the passing of his mother. Your eyes won't be dry. The girl has the biggest heart.

It also bothers some that Taylor Swift "does too much." She refuses to just be a musician. When given the chance she's acted, modeled and pretty much became an entire brand. She makes everything a huge deal and hypes herself up so much. It's amazing that she knows her worth and the power she has to impact lives. She grew up in the public eye and has always been an incredible role model. She was always mine and I turned out alright

She's used her platform for many great causes when she could have let the fame go to her head. When it came to her sexual harassment trial, she made sure her voice would be heard. She didn't take a huge payout, she spoke up against it. It took so much of her to do that and it's something to be proud of.

I know that Taylor Swift of all people does not need validation, but I felt like it was necessary.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
