The story starts when it was hot and it was summer and/
I had it all, I had him right there where I wanted him.
How appropriate that this is a Taylor Swift lyric and it's currently summer and she currently is in a fight with Kanye West.
She had him right there where she wanted him, everyone was pitying her for his lyrics in his song "Famous" where he said "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that bitch famous" Until she (Kim) came along and got him alone and, let's hear the applause, Kim took Taylor down faster than you can say sabotage.
If you've been on the internet the past few hours, you maybe (definitely) have heard of the recent Kimye-Taylor debacle. About how Taylor, who originally denied ever talking to Kanye about his song, was ripped down by Kim when Kim posted a video of her husband's phone conversation with Taylor about the song. Yes, Kanye did not mention the lyric "I made that bitch famous" but here's my opinion on why Taylor is being a hypocrite:
It was the year 2008 (the year before Kanye got on stage and all the Taylor-Kanye drama started) and Taylor was dating teen heartthrob Joe Jonas. Fast forward to when Joe breaks up with Taylor over a phone call.
So here's the thing, Taylor had posted a video to YOUTUBE of the phone call. That was completely uncalled for and very rude. Yes, he broke her young heart and did it over the phone (newsflash, she did the same to Calvin Harris). But she basically recorded a moment of vulnerability, something no one wants publicized and posted it for the whole world to see when she posted a video of Joe's phone call. How is that any better than the situation at hand? In my opinion, the fact that Kim recorded that was genius because it provides her and her husband with security for when the shit-storm broke out. (BUT I don't think Kim should've waited this long to share it just to promote her TV show)
From there, we can discuss how Taylor's song "Better Than Revenge" (one of my personal favorites tbh) is basically slut shaming another girl for "stealing" her now ex Joe Jonas. "She's not a saint and she's not what you think, she's an actress/ she's better known for the things that she does on a mattress." Not sure Camilla Belle even got a phone call asking her if it was okay for this song to be written/shared with the world. But that's okay, right Taylor?
Let it be known I am not a Taylor hater, I'm simply losing faith in her as a person. Ever since she started straightening her hair, it's been downhill in my opinion.
All in all, Taylor has participated (in some form) of each accusation she has thrown at Kanye, so I applaud him and Kim and their audacity to fight such a powerful and influential foe.
Round 3 is coming up, who will Taylor take on next?
