Taking a chance is one of the scariest things you will ever do in your life. It can be up there with moving, getting married, anything that will provoke nerves - hell, even those things can be considered taking a chance. But the funny and almost the only certain thing about taking a chance is that you never really know how things are going to turn out. And the great thing about that is even if things don't necessarily turn out how you hoped or thought they would, sometimes it still pays off.

Taking a chance is absolutely terrifying and you don't know what exactly what will come out of it but sometimes the reason you take a chance is that you want to see what happens and sometimes, it's exactly what you want. You can take a chance by taking a new job, moving to a new place, on friendship, or relationship and it'll work out better than you ever dreamed. It could be the perfect fit for you and it's funny because one day you'll look back and laugh about all the stress you had in making the decision to just go for it and take that chance.

And sometimes, you take a chance and it's the complete opposite of what you expect. Sometimes, you actually think to yourself what the hell was I doing. And those are my favorite chances because the world has a funny way of giving you exactly what you needed without you ever imaging in. You take the chance and it's absolutely horrible - but you always find yourself in a better situation, looking back, thinking you were out of your mind for doing that, but shaking your head because you're in a much better place.

Taking a chance will pay off - whether you get exactly what you were hoping to or whether it's the exact opposite of what you were hoping for. In the end, it always works out that you get exactly what you need. It might not be ideal at first, and it might not be what you want, which can be frustrating, but in a few years from now, you'll be so grateful you did it. It will teach you the lessons you needed, be the blessings you needed, and will always take you to where you need to be.

A chance if always be just that - a chance. It might work out, it might not. It might make you the happiest person in the world immediately or it might give you heartache that you need to take lessons from and move for with. You never know. But whether or not you think the chance you took was the best decision or the worst, it'll always be exactly what you needed and will lead you to a place that will pay off.

Keep taking chances. It'll always be worth it.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
