5 Reasons You Should Take a chance And Take an online class

It's not all bad, there's actually many benefits in it.

Before I was about to sign up for my first online class, I did some research on whether or not it was a good idea. I found a surprisingly good amount of articles telling me why online classes should be forbidden. I decided to ignore these articles and signed up for the online class anyways. I ended up loving it and have been enrolled in at least 5 online classes so far. Here's what I have noticed to be beneficial.

1. You complete your work at your own pace

For most of my online classes, the lectures were all posted online. I was able to watch and re-watch the lectures anytime I wanted to. If I didn't understand or forgot something, I was able to easily refer back to the lectures posted.

2. Professors and TAs are there for you

A lot of people think because you are taking an online class, you won't get to communicate with your professor or TAs as much. This is not true. For my classes, they both had a wide availability for office hours. I also noticed that they responded to my emails quicker and was able to answer any questions I had. Some of my classes even had discussion boards where students would post any question they had and another student or TA would be able to answer them within hours.

3. You can do your work in a more comfortable setting

Another myth is that if you take an online class, you probably won't end up getting out of your room and socializing as much. If you are taking an online class, you have the freedom to go wherever you want! I like going to coffee shops or libraries with my friends, where I can watch lectures and complete my work.

4. Easier attendance

For me, I hated waking up in the morning and attending lectures. Because it was so early, I had less motivation to attend lectures. For online classes, you don't have to worry about that. You won't miss anything because everything is online!

5. You can improve your time management and organization skills

Online classes have a lot of deadlines. There are specific times for you to complete your quiz and/or assignment. I was able to learn how to finish all my assignments on time and have time to complete my assignments in my other classes. I even learned how to better organize my deadlines by writing them down.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
