What really scared me this year is how negative I was about people and life in general. I get that there's a lot to complain about and become depressed over, but I no longer see this as an excuse when there is still so much to live for. One of the things I look for when I listen to music are messages in lyrics that are both uplifting and convicting. Music is therapy in many ways; it's one human saying to another, "I've been in the place you're in right now. This is how I'm choosing to deal with it." I one-hundred percent recommend these songs to any and every person reading this article.

Nate Feuerstein, currently known as NF, is a Christian rapper who recently appeared on the main stream music scene after his song "Let You Down" made it big. With almost 9 million followers on Spotify, NF is making a name for himself. NF gets a lot of his inspiration from Eminem and a lot of his earlier stuff sounds like a less angry Eminem.

The difference however, is that NF has emotions other than anger that are shown in his songs. NF writes and raps about his tough life and how he coped with his parents and their addictions.

The first song I ever heard by NF was Wait but I didn't fall in love with his music until I heard Mansion which seemed to speak to me on another level. Over the past few weeks, I have been listening to all of his music on repeat because I love how raw he is when he raps. He speaks of his experiences in life and that's what makes him so relatable. His raps are filled with allusions to his past and innuendos calling out other artists. He may not rhyme in every rap but when he does, his words are magical. Regardless, his voice is beautiful and what he raps speaks volumes.
