Take this tips so don't get played where the players play.

So we're less than one out from Super Bowl 53 and the city of Atlanta is set to have thousands of people come through for the big game. Now Atlanta is different from the majority of the South and we have a set of rules that everybody goes by that are set by the city. So If you're coming through the ATL, here are some things to help you make through this Super Bowl Weekend.
1. Marta is your main mode of transportation and yes, it will be crowded.
Giphy2. Major traffic Is always on I-285 and I-75 after 12:00 P.M and will last all day.
Giphy3. Parking is never free downtown so get an Uber.
Giphy4. Dress for spring and winter because Georgia weather is unpredictable.
Giphy5. Waffle House is the unofficial restaurant of Georgia so you're going to eat there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Giphy6. Please don't call Atlanta "Hotlanta", That's just for the brochures.
Giphy7. Any after party that's free before 11:00 P.M won't open the doors until 10:00 P.M.
Giphy8. The tourists attraction to go to is The Pink Trap House.
Giphy9. Get your souvenirs from your nearest Walmart.
Giphy10. Do not mention Super Bowl 51 to any falcon fan or there will be hands thrown.

Bye Bye, Birdie: A Farewell To Bird Scooters

Dear Birds,
You were one of the most exciting moments of the first semester. Not only did you bless people with the capability of falling off of them, but still somehow provided transportation from one place to the other without catching the bus. Now, sadly I have to wait out in the freezing cold longer to catch the bus with gross people that could give me germs(as if I'm not sick already from living in a dorm). You prevented me from being late to class at all costs to prevent the 20-minute walk from East to Main campus. Also, eating a pop tart while riding you was a plus. Although, you did make me feel even taller with the shortness of your bike (but that's what Lime scooters are for).
That's right, Bird, even though you thought you were all that, we still have Lime. Not only are they taller, but a whole lot more navigable(again no longer has to eat pop tart hunched over). All Lime's are more durable and have a much-needed break. Plus, they also go faster and respond quicker when activated. Sorry, Birds, but the idea of me pushing you up a hill when it's below freezing outside isn't ideal or an enjoyable ride. Every lime scooter trip I've had is seemingly effortless(no walking required). Also, I was able to find more Lime scooters readily available without a low battery.
If people think Bird scooters are everywhere, that would be very incorrect. Searching for a Bird bike was like finding treasure on a treasure map(again, not very easy). When you know you're at that point, walking or taking the bus is probably quicker. Another reason Lime scooters are better is that of their color. Who doesn't like green? The logo is inviting, attention-grabbing, and have you wishing it was summer during the winter. Once again, not like traditional black and white for a Bird scooter. Let's not forget the quickness of Lime scooters. They go much faster than Birds (up to 18 miles per hour) even on a hill, while Birds offer up to 15 miles per hour.
However, my biggest shoutout to Lime scooters is with no shoveled sidewalks in downtown Harrisonburg, I was still able to ride my Lime scooter on patches of ice. Lastly, the Lime scooter app is quicker to activate on your phone. Compared to the Bird scooter app, it would freeze up and choose to not work(for me risking being late to class). Even Though people are more favorable towards Bird, it is easy to see why Lime scooters are so much better.
Regardless of which motor scooter is your favorite, the reliability is key and cheaper than taking an Uber car and worrying if the right bus will come. So the next time you think about renting a motor scooter, think about availability first, speed second, and cost third.

5 Reasons Gwen Stacy Is The Coolest Character In 'Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse'
She's clever, tough and totally cool.

WARNING: SPOILERS!!
On December 14th, 2018 the "Spider-man: Into the Spider-Verse" was released in theatres. It was extremely well received by audiences, even scoring a 97% on Rotten Tomatoes. The story follows Brooklyn teen, Miles Morales, as he finds himself in the middle of a nefarious plot, orchestrated by a villain known as King Pin. King Pin plans to bring his wife and son "back to life" by finding versions of them in alternate dimensions and bringing them to his own. The only problem is, the machine he's using to do it, also known as a "collider," threatens to create a black hole under New York City that may kill everyone.
Miles finds himself in too deep when he witnesses King Pin killing Spider-man aka Peter Parker. Having been bit by a radioactive spider, as well, the task of stopping King Pin gets left up to Miles. However, Miles isn't alone. The collider has opened up some holes in the universe, and Spider-people from a variety of alternate dimensions have been dragged into Miles' dimension to help him and return home. Among this Spider-people is the clever and beautiful, Gwen Stacy. Of all of Miles' inter-dimensional guests. She is by far the coolest for a slew of reasons.
1. She's in a band.
In Gwen's universe, she's in a band called "The Mary Jane's" for which she is the drummer.
2. She saves her own father.
Gwen's father is the NYPD police chief and has an assassin sent after him. Gwen rescues him even though the NYPD is against her and blames her for the death of her classmate, Peter Parker.
3. She learned how to fight from watching movies.
In the comics Gwen is not trained in fighting, she is said to have picked up her skills from watching Kung Fu films.
4. Her best crime-fighting tool is that she’s clever.
Since Gwen's father is a detective, she learns a lot about the law and crime fighting from him. She's smart and creative and knows her way around a crime scene almost as well as the chief of police does.
5. She's tough physically and emotionally.
In Gwen's universe, her "uncle Ben" moment or defining moment in her backstory is the death of her best friend, Peter Parker. Not only does he die, but she is forced to fight him as her first super villain as spider-woman. In the "into the Spider-Verse film," she is then forced to relive a second death of Peter Parker, as she is the first of the spider people to make landfall in Brooklyn.
She is then faced with Peter B. Parker showing up afterward and ends up having to work closely with him for the duration of the film's plot. It probably wasn't easy for her to have to work alongside a constant reminder of the worst thing to ever happen to her, but it never shows. She is consistently cool and bold, never wavering and always getting back up.
A lot of the characters in "Into the Spider-verse" are really cool. Miles does street art and Peni has a robot. It's hard to get cooler than having a robot, but somehow Gwen wins. She's real, and she's flawed, but she's also tough in more ways than one and admirable as a hero. She is bound to be a quick fan favorite of the film, and I can't wait to see where her character goes next.

10 Holiday Gift Shopping Ideas From a Pro
I have completely taken over the gift shopping for my family and I couldn't love it more

Holiday shopping can be stressful, especially when you have a long list of people to buy for and not enough time to do it. Hopefully these tips will help make the pre-Christmas shopping a bit easier, and keep your spirits up for Christmas.
1. Free shipping is your friend!
It isn't always convenient to go out and buy gifts, but if you have to order online, make sure you do it with free shipping.
2. But always check delivery dates
Before you order all of your gifts online, make sure you look at the delivery dates. If it won't show up until December 26, it won't do you any good!
3. Sign up for email lists
While getting all of those emails tends to be more of an annoyance during the year, most companies will offer some good deals to anyone on their email list. And besides, you can always cancel your subscription after the festivities are done.
4. Use couponing websites
Once again, a little bit of a hassle to search for all of the stores you plan to shop in before you go, but the savings will be worth it. Try websites like Retail Me Not and Groupon, or Unidays if you're a student. Even store websites will sometimes have coupons! Bonus tip: you can always get the app on your phone for any last minute stops.
5. When in doubt, buy something you would enjoy receiving
What gift would you want someone to get you? Chances are the person you're buying for will like it too. Just make sure they have a similar taste as you (so your baby cousin or elderly grandfather might not work for this one).
6. Consider wrapping
Wrapping shouldn't prevent you from buying something for someone if you really think they'll like it, but if you have a choice between an oddly shaped toy box or a nicely boxed board game, go with the board game.
7. Maintain a price limit, and try to keep everyone the same
Especially when it comes to kids, it is important to be "fair" with your gifts. If you spend $50 on a nice sweater for your sister, you can't give your brother a $10 pair of headphones.
8. Think of things they need
Has your dad been complaining that his charger hasn't been working? Did your sister crack her good eyeshadow palate the other day? Take note of these things so that you can get people things they need without them even asking!
9. Always go personal
Maybe not for your White Elephant gift, but for people who love and care about you, personal is the way to go. Sure, your mom might like another sweater, but what she'll love is a frame of a picture of you two that she can show off to all of her friends at work. A little bit more effort goes a long way.
10. Don't forget to treat yourself!
Holiday shopping is stressful, so don't forget to use those coupons and get yourself a treat! After all of that time on your feet, you deserve a day at the spa or a nice lunch somewhere.
